Alynn Naylor is an award-winning songwriter, Americana artist, and writer whose work explores love, identity, creativity, grief, and the stories people tell themselves in order to survive.
For more than fifteen years, Alynn built a career largely behind the scenes, writing and collaborating with artists across genres and continents. Her songs and lyrics have been performed internationally, earning recognition for their emotional precision, lyrical honesty, and ability to make deeply personal experiences feel universal.
In 2026, she returned to releasing music under her own name with Whiskey and Warnings, her first solo project in more than a decade. Rooted in alt-country, Americana, and indie folk, the record marks a new chapter in a career shaped equally by the Pacific Northwest and the United Kingdom. Alynn has performed on both sides of the Atlantic, including appearances on BBC Radio Ulster, and continues to divide her creative life between the West Coast, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.
Alongside her music, Alynn is writing her debut memoir, So We Never Finished the Record, an intimate exploration of family, ambition, loss, artistic identity, and the relationships that shape a creative life long before anyone hears the songs.
When she is not writing or recording, Alynn works with rescued horses and BLM mustangs. Her life with horses has become an inseparable part of her creative practice, deepening her fascination with trust, attention, instinct, and the quiet ways both animals and people reveal the truth. Her horses, dogs, and assorted ranch creatures are also frequently the first audience for whatever she is working on next.
Across songs, essays, performances, and the page, Alynn’s work returns to the same essential pursuit: finding language for the things people are often most afraid to say aloud.
